Landmaus und Stadtmaus auf Reisen

In the south of France, Emily and Alexander are visiting their dear cousin Monique this time and are allowed to witness how the Lumière brothers let moving pictures flicker across the screen for the first time. But the enthusiasm of the audience in the hall fails to materialize: instead of cheering the film with the locomotive, everyone in the hall jumps up and runs away, frightened, because they think the locomotive is racing towards them. And to make matters worse, the film apparatus is stolen after the screening.
