When the dragon hunters return to the inn one day, they find all life there frozen and asleep. Only the half-blind healer Kao is still awake. From him, Gwizdo and Lian Chu learn that there is a dragon on a distant island that is responsible for such phenomena. Lian Chu finally manages to defeat the dragon and find the antidote.
