Mon enfant, ma soeur, songe à la douleur

Society/Politics, Belgium 2005

Khadia Diallo is a Senegalese woman who emigrated to Belgium. In her country, she underwent infibulation, the most serious form of female genital mutilation. In Belgium, she realized that this mutilation has nothing to do with Islam. It is an attack on a woman's physical integrity, her dignity, her right to happiness and pleasure. She founded GAMS (Group for the Abolition of Female Genital Mutilation). The film gives a voice to Khadia and other mutilated women and girls.
