Bright Days Ahead

At last! The attractive dentist Caroline (Fanny Ardant) is retiring! Her best days should have come by now. But the loving husband and daughters have their own worries, and Caroline has plenty of time on her hands. What to do? She decides to go to the local senior citizens' club, but can't keep on her feet. And she's not as old as the people there, is she? Caroline decides to take matters into her own hands and actively experience a second youth. She takes a lover, a young Adonis, who is almost thirty years younger. The world seems to be her oyster. But when the affair is revealed - and everyone reacts with great understanding - the excitement is soon gone. For Caroline, it is high time to look for the things that really make life.
