The Nordic Murders

A boat burns in the harbor, watched by Simone, a distressed teenager. Sophie falls in love with Jacob Emmerich, who turns out to be the son of a couple who died in a shipwreck ten years earlier, caused by the same boat. Karin and Julia investigate separately. They discover that a charity for troubled young people is embezzling public funds and that Claas Wanhoff and Jürgen Lossow were responsible for the shipwreck. Karin decides to help Jacob escape justice, and Julia arrests Simone, who confessed to protect Jacob and distance herself from the falsely protective association. Karin and Julia decide to give Steffi, the homeless woman burned in the fire, the money Jürgen stole ten years earlier.
