From season to season

Seasons determine the rhythm of life, spring with awakening nature, summer with sun and holidays, autumn with colourful leaves, winter with long nights, ice and snow. They shape our existence from childhood onwards, although their meaning often changes in the course of life and with increasing age. Meanwhile, the seasons themselves have also changed: Climate change is causing them to lose their distinctive patterns, producing hotter summers, less cold winters with less snow and much heavier rainfall. In novels and films, seasons often play a very special role. Sometimes they are even used as a meaningful artistic device, depicting the feelings of the characters, sometimes appearing desert-like, sometimes fertile. Just as writers and film directors construct a psychological relationship between man and weather, the seasons also reflect sensitivities and changes within the passing of time.
